We are recruiting for Workplace Pensions Senior Business Development Manager to join our corporate pensions development team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the growth of our ambitions in the workplace market by broadening our reach and deepening relationships with new and existing partner firms.

 

Royal London already has a strong presence in the corporate pensions market and this role provides a great opportunity to drive and influence our progress.

 

As a Workplace Pensions Senior Business Development Manager with Royal London you will deliver agreed new business targets from a panel of Corporate focussed employee benefits firms in a manner that satisfies all regulatory and compliance responsibilities and meets our Corporate objectives.

 

As part of our established and successful team, you will be remotely based and will need to be willing and able to travel to the range of outlets of panelled firms as required.

 

About the role

 

  • Deliver personal sales target from a panel of corporate adviser firms
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with senior leaders and business influencers at the targeted firms
  • Deliver sales presentations to cover all business development opportunities including beauty parades to win new clients.
  • Take responsibility for all corporate pension tenders issued
  • Work in partnership with adviser firms to develop new client opportunities and ensure we deliver an excellent and professional service at all levels of the organisation
  • Host site visit events in collaboration with aligned colleagues
  • Plan and record all sales activity in line with agreed sales process standards
  • Work and collaborate with teams and colleagues to support the ongoing development of partner relationships and provide feedback into future proposition requirements, market demands and changes

 

About you

 

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong positive business relationships with senior personnel
  • Excellent presentation skills in both face to face and virtual environments
  • Excellent technical knowledge of the pensions market and competitor propositions
  • Proven track record of success in corporate pensions intermediary sales
  • Professional qualifications – QCF Level 4 
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team to deliver agreed objectives
  • Full driving license
