About the role


We are looking for a Risk Analyst to provide support to the Chief Risk Officer in providing 2nd line risk management services to the Irish business.


The RLI DAC Risk team is a trusted partner of the business, responsible for supporting the Board and Management understand the overall risk profile of the Company as it evolves and advising on the management of risk in a changing environment.


Operating within a small team with a wide remit and taking responsibility for a number of key processes in the risk management system, this exciting role will provide broad exposure to entirety of the business operations of an innovative modern insurer and provide excellent development opportunities as both a risk management SME and insurance professional.


Key responsibilities


  • Coordination of Risk Policy Framework and Governance cycle.
  • Coordination of production of annual ORSA analysis and report.
  • Coordination of Recovery Plan and report.
  • Risk Reporting – Support in production of risk reporting; Provision of independent report to Board, Management and Business on outcome of 2nd line reviews risk assessment.
  • Regulatory reporting – Support in production of ORSA, QRTs, SFCR, RSR, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Support in the production of detailed Risk Analyses (At request of Board, BRC, SLT or GR&C).
  • Provide risk advice on key projects and product development.
  • Support in preparation and delivery of Risk training.
  • Support in regulatory liaison pertaining to Risk and Compliance.




  • Understanding of Solvency II regulation and delegated regulation, particularly pertaining to Risk Management and ORSA.
  • Experience in designing or applying risk management processes, in preferably in the insurance industry
  • Strong delivery focus with a can-do attitude towards changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
