We have an exciting opportunity for an Business Architect to join our Group Technology and Change (GTC) Function in Wilmslow.

 

This role will partner with different business areas in early stages of business discussions, advising on the potential organisational impact of business opportunity.  The Business Architect will establish the contribution that technology can make to business objectives, conducting feasibility studies, producing high-level business models, and preparing business cases.

 

 

What will you be doing

 


• Capture and prioritise market and environmental trends, business strategies and objectives, and identify the business benefits of alternative strategies.
• Lead the creation and review of a systems capability strategy that meets the strategic requirements of the business.
• Develop enterprise-wide architecture and processes that ensure that the strategic application of change is embedded in the management of the organisation, ensuring the buy-in of all stakeholders.
• Develop and present business cases, for high-level initiatives, for approval, funding and prioritisation. Ensure compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and technology directions, setting strategies, policies, standards and practices.
• Anticipate major changes affecting the organisation, and mobilise resources to implement changes.
• Advise business managers about the implications of planned IT-enabled change on the business, on processes, on staff and on customers. Initiate the definition of new organisation boundaries, and creates future organisation design.
• Analyse business processes; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility, and recommends new approaches, typically seeking to exploit technology components. organisational roles and responsibilities, and scope or nature of service delivery

 

 

What we’re looking for

 


• Background in Financial Services
• Strong senior stakeholder management skills
• Strong experience in influencing policy and strategy formation

 


Skills that will help you in the role

 


• Experience within Life Insurance and Pensions would be highly beneficial
• Ability to absorb complex information and communicates effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience of managing and mitigating risk
