Job Title: Claims Philosophy Developer

Location: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Alderley Edge or London

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Philosophy Developer to join our expanding team on a permanent basis. It will be your responsibility to develop and improve our claims philosophy and practices in line with Royal London’s business and propositional goals.

About the role

• Use data to understand trends and inform change
• Lead the delivery of improvements to claims philosophy from design to implementation
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders
• Support senior leaders in implementing and embedding the Risk Management System

About you

• Expert in Life, CI and disability claims assessment and management
• Driven to deliver excellent customer outcomes
• A sound understanding of legal and regulatory matters that affect claims and underwriting
• An ability to use data to inform and support philosophy developments
• Good planning, co-ordination, and organisation skills
• Good people management skills
• Able to maintain composure and professionalism in pressurised, stressful, and uncertain situations
• Ability to listen, communicate, challenge and influence team members, immediate peer group and senior business management
