We are looking for a Data Management Lead to join the Data Office team on a permanent basis as Royal London focus on becoming more data led. As the Data Management Lead you will play a key role in unlocking business value through data.  

 

About the role

 

  • Support the Head of Data Enablement in defining the enterprise vision for data management, providing thought leadership & delivering strategy 
  • Design and embed the Group data management operating model, capabilities, frameworks, forums and processes
  • Establish and embed an enterprise data ownership and engagement model
  • Develop data management objectives, KPIs & reports to enhance maturity, effectiveness and culture including data ethics
  • Develop understanding and measurement of data risk across the Group including an appropriate framework for controls and remediation 
  • Partner with projects, collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues, manage and influence stakeholders

 

About you

 

  • Practical experience in designing and implementing strategy, operating models, frameworks, policies, processes, standards and controls
  • Experience in establishing roles, responsibilities and accountability e.g. Data Owners / Stewards, Application owners, and Data Domains  
  • Significant experience in at least one data management discipline (e.g. Data Quality, Data Governance, Metadata Management) and platforms (e.g. Collibra, Informatica, Profisee etc.) or risk management 
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management and control frameworks (e.g. RCSA) including regulations and data related risks 
  • Commercially aware with proven experience in delivery management, achieving results and value
  • Strong ability to work under own initiative and to create frameworks from scratch, in new and developing environments
  • Great data storytelling skills and ability to inspire and influence stakeholders to support our data vision
