We have an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Architect to join our Group Technology and Change (GTC) Function in Wilmslow.

 

This role is responsible for setting policies and standards and guidelines for how the organisation conducts IT strategy development and planning. The Enterprise Architect will communicate, implement and review the processes which ensure that the strategic management of IT is embedded in the management and operational plans of the organisation.

 

 

What will you be doing


• Responsibility for review of management processes (and decisions) and confirms that they are compliant with the organisation's strategy for corporate governance of information.
• Set policies and standards and guidelines for how the organisation conducts IT strategy development and planning.
• Lead and manages the creation or review of an IT strategy which meets the requirements of the business. Develops, communicates, implements and reviews the processes which ensure that the strategic management of IT is embedded in the management and operational plans of the organisation.
• Captures and prioritises market and environmental trends, business strategies and objectives, and identifies the business benefits of alternative strategies.
• Develops and presents business cases, for high-level initiatives, for approval, funding and prioritisation.
• Ensures compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and technology directions, setting strategies, policies, standards and practices.
• Co-ordinates the identification and assessment of new and emerging hardware, software and communication technologies, products, methods and techniques. Evaluates likely relevance of these for the organisation. Provides regular briefings to staff and management.

 


What we’re looking for


• Previous experience in setting policies and guidelines
• Technical expertise in Security architecture; cloud services, Office 365, end user computer strategy.
• Strong and demonstrable knowledge of architecture frameworks, trends and initiatives

 


Skills that will help you in the role


• Strong understanding of technology trends; keeping up to date with emerging data and technologies
• Financial services experience would be beneficial
• Experience of multiple technology domains
