About the role

We are looking for an Enterprise Data Modelling Manager to join the Group Data Office. Within this role will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, optimisation, expansion and roadmap for the Enterprise Data Model (EDM). Your goal is to build a critical mass of highly valuable and consumable customer, product and proposition data assets in the model.


You will also be accountable for developing the level 1 and 2 conceptual data model for EDM (business entities, definitions, owners, relationships etc.), socialising this with stakeholders and maintaining this important artefact going forward. This will include key quarterly updates to show the progress made populating the EDM.

Key responsibilities

  • Ongoing management and maintenance of the EDM
  • Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility to the EDM and implement data strategies for developing physical data models
  • Oversee logical and physical extensions of the model that sits on the cloud platform
  • Management of 2 direct reports



  • A strong and demonstrable data modelling background (preferably in Financial Services)
  • Proven experience leading the Data Modelling engagement for complex, multi-vendor programmes and matrix led engagements
  • An ETL background
  • Experience of agile practice and implementation both in delivery and data design arenas
  • Data storytelling ability to present technical concepts to stakeholders of all levels
  • Knowledge of Cloud Data & Analytics services on Microsoft Azure and how they query canonical models
