We have a new exciting permanent opportunity for an Insight Support Analyst to join the Proposition Insight (Long Term Savings) team in Royal London Intermediary, Edinburgh.

The team provides insight, analysis and thought leadership to guide strategic direction and support strategy design and delivery; providing competitor, Government, regulatory and market knowledge and technical support to ensure Royal London can engage effectively with customers, advisers and key stakeholders. 

This role provides the right candidate with a unique career development opportunity within the insurance/financial services sector allowing exposure to a variety of areas within RLI and the wider Group. The role will support the activities of the Proposition Insight (LTS) team to collate information for senior management. This includes information on performance against plans, changes in legislation and regulation, as well as industry trends and competitor activity.

           What you will be doing:

  • You will assist the team in the collation of reports and packs to key RLI management meetings, business unit Scorecard inputs and submissions for external agencies such as S&P and AKG
  • You will assist the Proposition Insight (LTS) Team in the collation of reports for key stakeholders, including senior management, on competitor activity as well as RLI and RL Group market performance against competitors
  • You will support the Technical Support team in the administration of the RLI Legal Development Forum (LDF), tracking activities taking place across the Group and support with the maintenance of  the Technical Central website
  • You will support the Technical Support team and the Proposition Strategy & Insight Managers in the production of summaries of key legislative and regulatory changes, industry trends and the impact on RLI and RL Group. This involves reviewing legislative or regulatory change papers or articles and identifies the ones impacting our propositions (including pensions, protection, taxation, life contracts and ISAs)
    Training and mentoring will be provided


           What we’re looking for:


  • You will ideally be a graduate or equivalent professional qualification or experience of working in a financial services/insurance role
  • You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as displaying self-motivation and a commitment to learning and development
  • You will have strong planning and organisation skills and a natural curiosity and happy to challenge
    Skills that will help you in the role:


  • Accuracy with an attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative and also part of a smaller team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage pressures/priorities.
  • Ability to engage with key stakeholders in the business including senior management
  • PC literate with knowledge of all main Microsoft Office applications
