About the role

As a Data Visualisation Chapter Lead you will be accountable for leading the Data Visualisation competence within the Data Solutions team. You will lead a team of skilled data visualisation engineers and will manage the resource allocation to projects, talent development, and provide an environment within which Data Visualisation can thrive.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading a team of 5-8 Data Visualisation/BI professionals at various levels
  • Provide thought leadership across the group on best practice
  • Deliver high quality Data Visualisation/BI products
  • Owning and developing Data Visualisation/BI standards and guidelines for the group
  • Defining programmes of learning and development relating to Data Visualisation/BI skills in partnership with Learning and Development colleagues

 

Criteria

  • Significant experience and in-depth understanding of data visualisation development technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, etc
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching team members, peers and others
  • A good understanding of data analytics languages, such as SQL, R and Python
  • Experience of applying analytics and data visualisation techniques to solve real-world business problems
  • Awareness and experience of design led development methods e.g. design thinking, UI/UX design, A/B testing, Wireframing
  • Experience and understanding of a variety of user testing methods
