We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Test Analyst to join our Group Technology and Change (GTC) Function in Edinburgh.


The Lead Test Analyst coordinates and manages planning of the system and acceptance tests within a specialist team or supporting agile squads. They take responsibility for integrity of testing and acceptance activities and coordinate the execution of these activities. They provide authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test approach, planning and execution.



What will you be doing

  • Working across the test practice, managing all test processes, including test plans, resources, costs, timescales, test deliverables and traceability.
  • Define and communicate the test strategy for the project or specialist team
  • Manage client relationships with respect to testing matters
  • Identify process improvements, and contributes to corporate testing standards and definition of best practice.

  • Check progress against targets, reporting and escalating exceptions/issues as necessary and taking action to resolve exceptions.



What we’re looking for

  • Experience of leading automated team using test tools
  • Experience in agile methodology
  • Strong decision making skills; taking into account the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints, known risks, and the availability of necessary information and resources.



Skills that will help you in the role

  • Experience of working on projects
  • Experience of delivering improvements
  • An understanding of pensions or previous experience within financial services would be highly beneficial
