About the role

We are looking for a Senior Developer to join the Calculations Specialist Team within Application & Test Services.

 

The Senior ADAM Engineer will provide technical expertise to help our team design, develop, test, and implement efficient solutions that meet business and customer requirements. The Application & Test Services Team sit within the Group Technology Services division of Royal London Group and this role will primarily be focussed on our exciting new Pensions Application stack. The successful candidate will have a real impact into how Royal London develop our applications and will provide a blend of both solid team working skills and technical expertise.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborates with 3rd party software supplier(s)and internal stakeholders to achieve sign-off of design.
  • Develops complex technical solutions ensuring that all code meets Royal London Group standards, guidelines, and quality gates for given technology.
  • Works closely with the test team to ensure all code is thoroughly tested.
  • Understands cross-team dependencies to enable timely resolution of incidents/problems and requests.
  • Safely implements solutions to production environment(s).
  • Reviews the work of others in the team.

 

Criteria

  • Hands on development experience in .Net or VBA, successfully delivering change on complex applications.
  • Experience and a strong understanding of the calculations performed for regulatory illustrations.
  • Familiar with automated testing techniques and frameworks.
  • Can manage own workload.
  • A growth mindset with the ability to support, coach and mentor others.
  • Able to communicate at all levels in an engaging and collaborative manner.
