We have an exciting permanent role for a full stack Software Developer or Senior Developer to join the EpiServer team in Edinburgh. The role represents an opportunity join the team that deliver digital change to Royal London’s customer and intermediary websites.  

The purpose of this role is to design, develop, test and implement efficient solutions that meet business and customer requirements.  The team is a specialist team with accountabilities to deliver to a number of lines of business via a prioritised backlog, working closely with analysts and testers.

 

What will you be doing

  • Writing code that meets group standards, guidelines and quality gates for given technologies
  • Thoroughly testing all changes to ensure any issues are identified as early as possible
  • Supporting the safe implementation of solutions to production environment(s)
  • Contributing to the software development practice by sharing ideas and experience
  • Carrying out accurate impact assessments on changes to existing applications
  • Operating within RL Risk guidelines and controls
  • Contributing to process improvements and sharing best practice with the wider team

 

 

What we’re looking for

  • An experienced C# .NET developer
  • Experience with front-end libraries (Angular/Angular.js/React/Bootstrap)
  • JavaScript/CSS experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • You will be comfortable working in a close-knit team environment

 

 

Skills that will help you in the role

  • While it would be useful to have some EpiServer expertise, it is not essential. 
  • Broad experience of reading API documentation and interfacing with 3rd party APIs
  • Experience with automated regression testing tools
  • SQL DB skills
  • Experience of working in an agile environment
