Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) has a fantastic opportunity as a Finance Analyst to join our Finance Operations Team in London. Part of your responsibilities will be to own month end process from a costing perspective and working closely with the wider Finance Team.

 

You will help ensure that the end-to-end accounts process is carried out on an accurate and timely basis and that the ledger and sub-ledgers contain accurate information which can be used by other members of Finance and the wider business.

 

The Finance Operations Team ensures the month end close occurs on a timely basis and that the ledger and sub-ledgers contain accurate financial information ready for use by other teams within RLAM Finance and the wider business.

 

About the role

 

  • Ensure the month end close occurs on a timely basis and that cost accruals, prepayments and all associated journals are accurate and complete.
  • Provide high quality insight and analysis to other teams within finance, for example monthly handover of cost figures to other teams within Finance.
  • Carry out balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review rebate payments processed by outsourced suppliers.
  • Work closely with the Statutory Accounting Team to ensure the audit is managed effectively and all actions are closed in a timely manner.

 

About you

 

  • Finance operations experience gained ideally within Financial Services, Asset management industry.
  • Accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Strong Excel skills essential
  • Demonstratable experience of improving existing processes and developing new processes
  • Experience of Oracle ledger would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
