About the role:

 

We are looking for a Risk Manager to join RLAM’s Investment Business Management team. The team support collaboration and efficiency across the Front Office by maintaining effective business processes and controls. You will report into the Senior Risk Manager and work closely with Front Office stakeholders and other RLAM departments.

 

RLAM is embarking on a multi-year transformation programme to re-platform the Front Office across all asset classes. The change will affect all existing systems and processes and therefore will require significant involvement and strong engagement from the business.

 

The purpose of the role is to assist management of Operational Risk and coordinate control activity. You will represent the team in change activity under our ongoing transformation programme.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Working with the management team to ensure that risk registers are up to date and accurate.
  • Perform control assurance testing, including key reports testing, in accordance with plan and framework.
  • Root cause analysis on risk events.
  • Maintain the Front Office system estate with regards user access and permissions.
  • Building process maps showing key controls and used to identify any additional control requirements.
  • Represent the Front Office teams in transformation programme from an operational risk perspective.
  • Testing and implementation of system enhancements.

 

Criteria

 

  • Operational Risk background with understanding of risk management framework and methodology.
  • Knowledge and experience of Asset Management processes, products and controls, either directly or in a consultancy capacity.
  • Desirable to have technical knowledge of Order Management Systems, tools such as Aladdin, Thinkfolio, Murex, Charles River.
  • Previous experience in a Front Office environment is desirable.
