The main purpose of the role is to provide technical administration support for all Hardware and Software

 

What will you be doing

  • The management of incidents & service requests to the satisfaction of the business ensuring that they are closed within SLA
  • Building / Rebuilding / Replacing / installing hardware
  • Stock management – to ensure the availability of hardware
  • The provision of out of hours support
  • Maintenance of documentation of all procedures
  • Identification of problems, weaknesses & risks across the estate
  • Identification of Service improvements
  • Business Continuity support – Including the support of DR tests & the highlighting of any single points of failure
  • Support for Project delivery

 

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience working in an IT Support role,
  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge of IT systems
  • ITIL foundation
  • Willing to work out of hours
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent team working skills, willing to share knowledge and take part in cross training initiatives

 

Skills that will help you in the role

  • Hands on experience of hardware and software
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft technologies, including AD/Mail
  • Working knowledge of End user computing and Networking (WAN/LAN/Security/WiFi)
  • Good understanding of VMware & VMware View, Unix & storage technologies, monitoring capacity and performance and automation of systems and process
  • Knowledge of Enterprise storage  and administering Enterprise level back office systems
  • Experience of backup and recovery tools and procedures.
  • Ability to take ownership of your own development with a can do attitude
