The marketing team is responsible for all marketing communications for RLAM and is responsible for all content required to assist and support the sales process. The individual in the role will be expected to create and edit written content for use across the business. Key outputs would be regular reporting on funds and strategies as part of our retention efforts, as well as creating compelling content for both institutional and wholesale channels (example of audiences – Investment Consultants, institutional pension schemes, local authorities, charities and insurance companies, wealth managers, multi managers, IFAs and Platforms). This individual will need to be comfortable working both with fund management and sales teams to help deliver this content, as well as working closely with colleagues in Marketing, often to demanding deadlines.


Key Accountabilities

  • Reporting
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual / interim reports are required for most of our funds.
  • Look to harness efficiencies in how these reports are scheduled, created and delivered.
  • Deliver these reports to deadlines that meet the client need.
  • Content creation
  • Work both proactively and reactively with both Distribution partners and front office to drive content ideas
  • Support the Marketing Content Manager to deliver a content programme that supports sales and retention efforts across required channels
  • Create or edit material for use in articles, trade press, blog posts and other formats
  • Help support and guide other parts of Marketing – helping with delivery of content and developing more effective ways to increase consumption of our content.


Skills and Experience

  • Confident and effective verbal and written communications with clients
  • Good analytical skills and confidence with numerical data
  • Strong organisational and time management skills – ability to manage multiple activities
  • Ensure all clients are treated in clear and consistent manner with adherence to TCF principles
  • Ability to work effectively both within a team and autonomously


Essential Criteria

  • Excellent understanding of fixed income markets – notably government bonds and credit – and equities
  • Strong understanding of investment products, in particular unit trusts/OEICs and pooled pension funds
  • Good current knowledge of wholesale and institutional markets and client base
  • Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory environment within an asset management firm
  • Good university degree


Desirable Criteria

  • Investment Management Certificate (IMC) preferred
