Would you like to be part of a company who is driven by our purpose to protect the standard of living of this and future generations?

Being customer owned means that we always work in their best interest and when the business does well, they get a share of our profits. We want to deepen relationships with our customers and the skills of talented marketing, communications and digital specialists are an essential part of achieving that. We are building cutting edge capabilities using data and technology and investing in our colleagues to deliver great outcomes for our customers.

We are looking for a Marketing Automation Consultant to join our team in either Alderley Edge, London, or Edinburgh. Working to a hybrid model and on an initial 12-month contract, you will be joining the business at a very exciting time.

Royal London and the Brand and Marketing team are currently migrating and implementing market-leading technology, from CRM, digital and AI functionality, and you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills as we modernise our tech stack.

In this role, you will be working in a close-knit Marketing Automation team, and your day-to-day responsibilities will be to support the wider business in terms of delivering campaign activity, as well as learning and helping to shape our technology in line with our broader marketing plans. You will work closely with key stakeholders and teams across Marketing Automation, Data Ops, Insight, Development, Architecture, Campaign Management, Solution Design, and IT.

If you would like to join the UK’s largest mutual life, pensions, and investment company, who were recently voted Company of the Year’ by financial advisers, then this could be the opportunity for you.

About the role

  • Building out new automations, multi-channel journeys and handling ad-hoc requests to support the marketing team.
  • Orchestrate and execute marketing automation programmes using a data led approach to interact and communicate with customers on digital channels.
  • Optimizing the Marketing Automation programme across our digital communication channels (email, push, emerging channels), in collaboration with Brand & Marketing stakeholders, identifying opportunities and sharing best practice to deliver optimal business performance and customer outcomes.

About you

  • Good working knowledge of Marketing Automation or ESP platforms (Ideally having experience with Microsoft 365, but not essential).
  • Prior hands-on experience in data planning and campaign management.
  • Good experience with data segmentation and dynamic/personalised campaigns.
  • Multi-channel experience – email, SMS, Push, In-App, events, landing pages, social.
  • Experience with building journeys and automated triggers.
  • Hands on experience working with robust processes in terms of quality checking – QC, sign off and testing.
  • An interest in learning new tech as we roll out more MS365 functionality.
