The Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) IT Development team have an exciting opening for a Software Development Lead to join them. The team play a pivotal role in developing internal business applications and managing the route to Production.

 

The successful candidate will have autonomy to shape the team and their working processes, growing RLAM’S capability and working with leading technologies.

 

About the role

 

  • Provide specific specialist knowledge across RLAM’s Technology stack, primarily covering .NET, Angular and MS SQL/Snowflake technologies.
  • Manage workload and delivery of change schedule – project delivery and reduction of backlog.
  • Implement best practice development and oversight, including defining standards and design patterns.
  • Management of development road maps and backlog for key business applications and integration components.
  • Own the risks faced by your business area, managing the control framework, and implementing and embedding all elements of the Risk Management System.
  • Manage a team of 5 Developers plus consultants involving quarterly and annual assessments and the co-ordination of personal development plans.

 

 

About you

 

  • Experience managing a team is essential.
  • Background and experience in software development and development lifecycles is essential to succeeding in this role.
  • .NET 8 for web services and interfaces for developing desktop and web-based applications handling large volumes of data.
  • Angular 12 of higher.
  • Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Microservices and APIs.
  • Azure AI.
