We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Test Analyst to join our Group Technology and Change (GTC) Function in Wilmslow.


The Senior Test Analyst is responsible for the creation of test cases using own in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability).
 

 

What will you be doing


• Uses in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, performance and portability) to determine test requirements.
• Specifies requirements for environment, data, resources and tools.
• Conducts early life cycle validation and verification. Plans, estimates and schedules phase tests.
• Designs and produces re-usable test scripts
• Produces plans to test the effect of new and changed software on existing systems
• Interprets and executes complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards.
• Monitors progress, documents test pass/failures compared with pre-defined criteria, creating traceability records, from test cases back to requirements, in accordance with agreed standards.
• Mentors Test Analysts and Trainee Test Analysts
• Deputises for Lead Test Analyst


What we’re looking for


• Familiar with testing techniques used to plan and execute software tests of all application components (functional and non-functional) to verify that the software satisfies specified requirements and to detect errors. 
• Ability to interpret new information or changed circumstances and/or business requirements and modifying response to a problem or situation accordingly.
• Awareness of software tools which automate or assist any part of the testing process across the whole testing lifecycle.
