Interns
Our summer and year-in industry internships are an excellent way to gain meaningful work experience and help shape the rest of your time at university.
You’ll get exposure and insight into real business challenges and contribute value from day one.
Where possible, we aim to support you with dissertation topics too.
In return, we’ll benefit from your new perspective and fresh thinking.
We only welcome a small number of interns each year, meaning your experience will be unique.
Personal development
Your placement is specific to you. You’ll have set objectives and a personal development plan that’ll see you take ownership and support on a small portfolio of projects that deliver value back to our business. You’ll also get to work as part of a wider internship peer group to deliver a joint project to our senior leadership teams.
We’re here to support your development at every step. Our structured learning will help you understand the business, develop new skills and broaden your career options.
Launch your career
Our internships are a great opportunity for you to impress and put yourself in the best possible position to get a role with us when you graduate.
This might be securing a place on one of our graduate programmes or landing that perfect entry-level position in your preferred team.
How to apply, what to expect and when
Our internship opportunities will be advertised right here on our careers site from early October until mid-November each year. We advertise one role to cover the different pathways, unless we say otherwise.
You should apply online with a short cover letter telling us why you’re perfect for the role and stating your preferred placement. It’d also be great to know if you have any flexibility regarding your placement.
Apply for only one location, so choose wisely. Please note that our asset management business is only based in our London office.
If you’re selected for an interview, you’ll be invited to an in-person assessment day which usually lasts for three hours.
We aim to run these towards the end of January and the start of February.
Once all the assessment days have been completed, we’ll review and match successful candidates with available placements.
We’ll be in touch to offer you a place or share feedback if you weren’t successful. We aim to do this within four weeks of your assessment day.
Internships start around mid-June for ten weeks or twelve months, depending on the programme.
Placements can change, so it’s important that you’re flexible and adaptable to this. Whatever your placement, we’ll make sure it’s a great experience.
