Our Brand and Marketing function’s goal is to create a unified brand strategy for all business areas, so they can effectively communicate with their target audiences. 

We aim to develop a marketing strategy that supports the various routes to market used by our businesses, as well as a communications strategy to maximise our impact both internally and externally.  

We’re also responsible for providing modern digital content infrastructure for our customers and clients. 

Our teams 

The Marketing Planning and Governance team shapes and oversees the delivery of Brand and Marketing plans across the Royal London Group, ensuring these align to our overarching Purpose and strategy.  

The Brand team leads the delivery of our brand strategy, bringing to life what it means to be a modern mutual and championing our mutual mindset. The team’s goal is to create brand fame and differentiate from competitors whilst driving tangible value for our members. 

The Policy and Communication team is responsible for protecting and enhancing Royal’s corporate reputation and ensuring we have a strong and consistent voice with key audiences, both internally and externally.  

The Royal London Asset Management Marketing team delivers marketing to support the ambitions of our asset management business, creating compelling content to engage clients and prospects across all elements of the marketing mix. 

The Engagement team creates connected, digital-first customer engagement journeys that support Royal London’s strategy, help deepen customer relationships and align to our brand. The team also identifies key engagement opportunities that are relevant to our customers’ goals.  

The Digital Marketing team if focused on making our digital marketing activity as effective and efficient as possible, from what the content looks like and says through to what happens after the click. This includes developing, testing and improving user journeys through our websites, selecting the best digital channels, and making sure we have the right digital skills and tools. 

The Marketing team deliver marketing to support the ambitions of the Royal London Group. The team supports business priorities by designing and delivering a customer-focussed and commercial marketing plan. 

The Marketing Operations team delivers marketing capabilities to support the needs of our Brand and Marketing function. The team puts the right operational frameworks in place (controls, suppliers, people) to make sure that marketing is delivered in a safe, efficient and effective way.
