Job Title: Automation & Innovation Developer

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Alderley Park or Edinburgh (Waverley Gate)

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We’re hiring Automation & Innovation Developers to join our Group Customer Operations function, working within our Automation Centre of Excellence.

 

This role is all about designing and building intelligent automation and digital solutions, using Microsoft Power Platform, AI and automation technologies, that make everyday work easier and improve customer outcomes.

 

You’ll work on a mix of process automation, AI enablement and Copilot adoption, partnering with operational and technology teams to turn ideas into practical, high‑quality solutions.

 

It’s a great opportunity to build hands‑on experience, work on meaningful transformation projects and help shape how automation adds value across the business.

 

About the role

 

  • Design, build and support automation and digital solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and related technologies
  • Work with business and technical colleagues to translate requirements into practical, high‑quality solutions
  • Contribute to the full delivery lifecycle, from design and build through to deployment, support and improvement
  • Ensure solutions follow development best practice, including security, governance and quality standards
  • Support continuous improvement, adopting new automation, AI and Copilot capabilities as they emerge
  • Help identify and deliver automation opportunities that improve efficiency, quality and customer outcomes

 

About you

 

  • Experience designing and building automation or digital solutions, ideally using Microsoft Power Platform
  • Understanding of intelligent automation technologies such as RPA, workflow automation, IDP or AI‑enabled tools
  • Experience contributing to the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy and support)
  • Awareness of IT security, governance and compliance standards when developing solutions
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to work effectively with business and technical colleagues
  • A curious, learning‑focused mindset, with an interest in automation, AI and continuous improvement
