We’re recruiting an experienced Digital Content Design Manager to lead a team of content designers to create and deliver high-quality, user-centred content experiences across Royal London’s digital marketing platforms.

 

As Digital Content Design Manager you’ll oversee the end-to-end content design process, from planning through discovery, design, and delivery. You’ll ensure the consistency, quality, and efficiency of the team’s output; delivering experiences that meet the needs of Royal London’s customers while also achieving business goals.

 

With your experience as an expert content design practitioner, you’ll champion the value of user-centred design, form relationships with key stakeholders across the business, and impart understanding of the content design discipline. You’ll play a key role in nurturing a culture of excellence among the community of content practitioners working at Royal London.

 

As a People Leader, you’ll lead by example and work with your team to refine and improve content design processes and methods, while keeping one eye on the latest advances in design tools and techniques. You’ll enable your team to thrive through coaching, culture, and performance management.

About the role

 

  • Lead the design of user-centred digital content experiences on key digital initiatives and projects that meet customer and business needs, supporting Discovery, Definition and Design and Delivery phases of activity.
  • Act as a recognised expert for Content Design and user-centred design within the business, advocating for focusing on user needs and the delivery of high-quality digital journeys.
  • Ensure the alignment of Content Design activity to wider strategic goals for content strategy, digital transformation, operational efficiency, and digital capability enhancement.
  • Lead by example by demonstrating the effective use of Content Design approaches, tools and methods and guiding your team in their adoption and use.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the Content Design team, co-ordinating team members and the delivery of work across multiple initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other Managers within the Digital Marketing team to establish the scopes and outcomes for digital projects and initiatives, and determine content design resourcing, activity, and personnel requirements.

 

About you

 

  • Extensive experience of delivering Content Design activity and copywriting and editing skills.
  • Excellent understanding of usability, accessibility, and user-centred design.
  • Strong knowledge of content strategy and content management
  • Strong knowledge of capturing user and business needs and mapping user journeys.
  • Experience of building motivated and engaged team.
