About the role

We are looking for an IT Risk Analyst to join the Risk Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Group’s Executive and Business Management with providing independent assessment and opinion on the execution of the risk management system across Royal London.  You will support risk managers, senior risk managers and risk directors in ensuring that we embed and progress a consistent approach to risk management across all business functions. 

 

You might be an experienced IT Risk Analyst looking for a new opportunity or an IT professional looking to move into Risk.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Ensures all risk reporting is produced to a high standard in a timely manner
  • Deliver change activity to improve governance and controls in functions; provide input to and represents functions in Group-wide risk management development initiatives, e.g. new risk acceptance process, updated policy process
  • Carry out 2nd line oversight of the RMS e.g. risk events, RCSA in line with our procedures and produce analysis of results.

 

Criteria

  • Understanding of the industry, and the associated legislative and regulatory environment
  • Understanding or process, risk and control management and assessment techniques, and how they can be applied to deliver outcomes for customers, regulators and the business
  • Understanding and application of the 3 lines of defence framework, risk management framework, control risk self-assessment process
  • Knowledge of RLG Conduct risk obligations and application of these in day to day activities
  • Good working knowledge of IT
