We’re hiring a Senior Actuarial Trainee or a newly qualified actuary to join the team within the Finance & Actuarial function—a role that blends technical depth with real business impact.
You’ll work on high-value projects that support pricing, reporting, business quality monitoring, while also helping to improve systems, processes, and risk controls. This is a hands-on role where your analysis and insight will directly influence decision-making across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone progressing through actuarial exams or newly qualified who’s ready to take on more responsibility, contribute to strategic initiatives, and mentor others. You’ll be supported with a structured study pathway and the chance to apply your learning in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
About the role
- Deliver high-quality actuarial analysis to support business-as-usual and strategic initiatives.
- Produce clear, well-documented reports and insights for stakeholders across the business.
- Maintain and improve actuarial models, systems, and processes with a focus on risk and control.
- Contribute to and lead on project work, offering ideas and challenging direction where needed.
- Mentor junior team members and support their development, where applicable.
- Progress through actuarial exams while applying study knowledge to real-world scenarios.
About you
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with experience applying actuarial techniques in a business context.
- Progressing through actuarial exams, ideally at Specialist level, with a solid understanding of actuarial concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly to a range of audiences.
- Proficient in relevant software and modelling tools, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment, with the ability to mentor or supervise others.
- A proactive mindset with a desire for continuous learning and improvement.
