We currently have an opportunity for a Business Resilience Lead to join Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) Operations Business Resilience on an 18-month contract in London. 

 

RLAM Business Resilience includes operational resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident management.

 

Working closely with local important business services (IBS)  Owners and other Royal London Group (RLG) Business Resilience Leads, you will be responsible for the ongoing design and implementation of IBS resilience within the RLAM Group, ensuring this meets the RLG resilience strategy, framework and governance standards.

 

You will help to ensure that the IBS that the RLAM Group provides to its customers are resilient to incidents, can quickly recover from disruption and are set up to mitigate external customer harm. The Business Resilience Lead will represent the RLAM Group at the RLG Resilience Forum and work closely with the RLG Resilience Management Office to report on IBS resilience activities.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established business resilience model as a subject matter expert and partner with our local IBS owners on continuous improvement and resilience maturity.

 

About the role

 

  • Ensure there is appropriate support and capabilities for IBS resilience activities across the RLAM Group.
  • Ensure appropriate mechanisms are in place to oversee IBS Resilience, including attendance at Resilience Reviews.
  • Ensure threats for Business activities (or activities impacting the Business) are identified, documented and effectively managed/mitigated.
  • Engage and communicate on investment decisions which may impact IBS provision for any business units dependent on the impacted business service.
  • Design and lead scenario tests to understand ability to remain within Impact Tolerance and identify further vulnerabilities.
  • Manage the RLAM Group Incident Management response to operational disruption, deputising for the RLAM IMT Chair, engaging with RLG Major Incident Command Centre (MICC) on Group-wide incidents
  • Maintain the golden source of Resilience documentation and collateral on the RLAM Resilience SharePoint
  • Collaborate with the other RLG Business Resilience Leads to ensure end-to-end important business service resilience is well understood and effectively managed, and issues appropriately escalated.

 

About you

 

  • Strong knowledge of financial services, especially asset management, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Expertise in business service resilience, continuity planning, IT disaster recovery, and threat/crisis management.
  • Skilled in designing resilience strategies and embedding them across operations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence across all levels.
  • Deep understanding of business structures and principles.
  • Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with decisiveness and effective delegation.
