Royal London are seeking a positive, driven and solution-focussed candidate to join Royal London’s Legal Team. The Legal Team are responsible for providing advice to the whole of the Royal London Group and in this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our growing legal team in a culture-first business, with an exciting strategy.
Reporting directly to the Head of Legal Operations, the successful candidate will join an established PA in providing proactive and best in class executive assistant support to the General Counsel and Legal Leadership Team. The role holder will be a member of the Legal Operations Team who are responsible for ensuring that the wider Legal Team are able to operate efficiently and effectively.
About the role
- Provide high quality executive assistant/business management support to the General Counsel and Legal Senior Leadership Team enabling them to work more effectively and efficiently.
- Work alongside the Head of Legal Operations and General Counsel in the operational running of the Legal Function.
- Support the General Counsel and other Legal Senior Leadership Team in ad-hoc projects and activities to help shape the strategic direction of the Legal function.
- Co-ordination of priorities with, and oversight of the activities delivered by the PA to the General Counsel; ensuring high-quality PA support is delivered to the General Counsel and the Legal Senior Leadership Team.
- Act as key point of contact for the General Counsel and Legal Senior Leadership Team, building effective relationships with senior stakeholders internally and externally.
About you
- You will have strong experience working in an in-house legal function, supporting a General Counsel at Executive level.
- Proactive and positive attitude with a genuine curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in high pressure situations with tight deadlines.
- Experience in working with Microsoft programmes including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint. Experience in advanced Microsoft suite programs including, MS Forms, Power BI, Power Automate would be beneficial.
