We have a new opportunity for a Private Asset Operations Analyst to join us within the Investment Operations function to operationally support the Private Assets and Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) business within Royal London Asset Management.
This is a new role which will form part of the wider Investment Operations team and it will help support in shaping the future of our Private Asset operations and investment proposition and operations framework.
About the role
The position requires technical and analytical skills, an understanding of Private Asset instruments and Fund Vehicles, CLO structures, and good knowledge of private asset and CLO associated operational processes such as, but not limited to.
- Provide Operational support to the Front Office Investment and Dealing teams.
- Managing the operational life cycle of these all Private Asset and CLO instruments.
Ensuring smooth execution of trades, settlements, reconciliations and reporting
- Coordinating multiple internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support internal audits and work with external auditors to ensure proper controls and compliance measures are in place
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry, market and regulatory change.
- Oversee and monitor Third Party service providers against agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Liaise with counterparties, custodians, and brokers to resolve trade discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Supporting the designing of new operating models and processes.
- Operationally supporting new fund launches and client onboarding.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams (e.g., Portfolio Management, Client Group, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance) and external parties (e.g., custodians, brokers, administrators, trustees).
- Work closely with other Operations teams to create operational efficiencies and synergies in processes.
- Maintain a robust operational risk and control framework for the private asset and CLO operational processes and oversight mode
About you
- Undergraduate degree Level, ideally in Finance, Business/Economics or Mathematics.
- Experience within Private Asset Operations.
- Order Management System, ideally Aladdin or equivalent Private Asset systems, experience would be desirable.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office with VBA knowledge in Excel desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of Financial Markets, Instruments and Products required.
- CFA, IMC or equivalent qualification desirable but not essential if experience is evident.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
