We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Mandate Monitoring Analyst to join our team on a permanent basis in London.
The main purpose of the role is to interpret, input and monitor rules and guidelines for investment mandates and will act as a subject matter expert to the key business stakeholders surrounding Investment Restrictions, Regulations and Guidelines for IMA’s and fund documentation as well as provide key consultancy to business stakeholders for utilising rule coding to solve operational needs.
About the role
- Interpret new and amended client mandates or portfolio prospectuses to enable accurate & automated pre and post-trade compliance mandate monitoring.
- Contribute to daily pre and post-trade investment monitoring, investigation, resolution, escalation, and reporting – both internally and externally as required.
- Implement complex investment restrictions, regulations, and guidelines into BlackRock Aladdin precisely and promptly.
- Train less experienced and new team members on key Aladdin functionality, coding & testing approaches, navigation of Aladdin & team EUCs, incorporating industry best practices to establish repeatable processes.
- Conduct Rolling Reviews of existing mandates, to ensure accuracy & completeness versus the latest documentation, market practices, and applicable regulations.
- Innovate & automate utilising modern technology solutions including Power BI, Power Automate & Flows, Artificial Intelligence & data on Snowflake via SQL, to drive efficiency gains & effectively automate existing rules that are manually monitored to date.
- Manage key business relationships with internal and external functions such as Front Office, Business Control & Resilience, Propositions, the Client Group, Trustees and Depositaries.
About you
- Established experiences within Investment Management.
- A high level of proficiency in the use of Blackrock Aladdin’s Compliance Workbench as well as direct experiences in Pre & Post-Trade Monitoring ideally within Aladdin.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the regulatory framework across multiple jurisdictions but not limited to UCITS, AIFMD and Money Market Funds.
- Experiences in other Order & Portfolio Management Systems such as thinkFolio, Charles River, Bloomberg AIM, Eze or Enfusion beneficial.
- Post Trade analysis of active and passive breaches, including holding Fund Managers to account for investment decisions generating breaches
- Able to clearly communication with client teams.
- Experience of engaging with custodians, trustees, software & data vendors, technologists and third parties to explain complex processes, procedures and products
- Experience of working on large projects with hard timelines for delivery.
