As a member of the Brand and Sponsorship team, as Sponsorship Manager you will support the Senior Sponsorship Manager in leading sponsorship initiatives across the Royal London Group. You will align sponsorships with our Purpose and strategy, activate them across channels, and integrate them internally and externally. Your role includes building and protecting the company brand and reputation, developing relationships with our partners, agencies and across internal departments, and managing sponsorship budgets and performance tracking.
About the role
- Assist the Sponsorship Senior Manager in providing leadership across the Group, ensuring our sponsorships align with our Purpose and strategy.
- Oversee the development and implementation of sponsorship campaigns through external and internal channels.
- Ensure our sponsorship initiatives effectively engage our key audiences: customers, colleagues, and advisors.
- Promote the integration and embedding of our sponsorship across the company.
- Foster key internal relationships, including those with Customer, Adviser and Employer Marketing, Distribution, Royal London Ireland, and RLAM, and support them with integrated sponsorship activation.
- Contribute to the development of measurement frameworks and KPIs to monitor activations and optimize our sponsorship assets.
- Assist in evaluating new sponsorship opportunities according to our strategy and criteria.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our sponsorship partners and agencies.
- Establish and uphold strong relationships with key internal stakeholders at all levels, representing sponsorship in group-wide forums as the subject matter expert.
- Encourage colleague participation and pride in sponsorship initiatives across the Group.
- Manage award entry strategies and submissions.
- Support internal processes, including raising Statements of Work (SOWs), Purchase Orders (POs), new project contracts, and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Ensure delivery of projects on time and within budget.
About you
- Good understanding of brand sponsorship and sponsorship principles
- Experience managing end-to-end sponsorship and/or marketing campaigns and activations across channels
- Good understanding of event marketing, social media and digital campaigns
- Good understanding of measurement and sponsorship evaluation principles
- Track record in project management, managing conflicting priorities and meeting deadlines
