Royal London Asset Management is continuing its exciting journey of growth and transformation. As we expand, we have a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual, to join our Outsourced Operations team as Trainee Relationship Manager.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team where your development is a priority. You’ll receive hands on experience and dedicated mentoring from an experienced professional whilst contributing to the successful running of RLAM’s Operations and wider business.
The Outsourced Operations team provides the relationship management and governance for the services supplied by HSBC, SS&C, BRS, Apex, Swift and Royal London Group Intragroup services. It also supports the relationship management of the Irish Funds Third Party Management Company, FundRock and related outsourcer State Street.
About the role
- Ensure effective monitoring, control and provision of outsourced relationships.
- Work with the relationship managers to support the governance and oversight of the services supplied by third parties in accordance with industry best practice, Group Policies, team procedures and key controls.
- Ensure monthly invoices are correct and as per budgets
- Maintain action logs where required and liaise with third parties and Royal London colleagues to track progress.
- Control the timely completion of due diligence questionnaires and Key Performance Indicator reporting.
- Create and maintain documented standards and procedures for managing outsourced relationships.
- Develop, maintain and review the reporting of Risks.
About you
- Demonstrable interest in the asset management industry.
- Understanding of Royal London Asset Management Limited products, services and strategy - www.rlam.com
- Understanding of what relationship management and procurement practices are.
- Committed to undertaking and completing Investment Operations Certificate within 18 month period from start date – to be funded by RLAM.
- Very strong numerical skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive self-starter.
- Desire to achieve and self-develop.
- Can work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent professional manner.
