We have an exciting opportunity for a brand and marketing focused Project Manager to join our Change team working with our Digital Marketing team. Within this role you will plan and manage the full roadmap of work for the squads to deliver compelling digital customer experiences and drive digital marketing transformation. Due to the nature of the role, a background within financial services or Pensions would be highly beneficial, particularly in a marketing function.
About the role
- Lead a squad within a complex and highly structured organisation, driving forward transformation projects across the software arena.
- Provide leadership to the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
- Articulate and demonstrate business acumen around cost and the impact on profitability.
- Define and agree required level of project resource needed for successful project delivery.
- Manage risks and issues, understanding a wider risk context associated with the business and the delivery.
- Build a collaborative, commercial relationship with 3rd parties to manage costs and maximise value.
- Implement appropriate level of Governance in-line with Group methods.
- Cost control on the project and understanding the impact this has on Group-wide financial performance and value to the customer.
About you
- A strong proven background of delivering large scale Software Development focused projects within a matrix style organisation.
- Working experience in project management delivering both business and technical change initiatives.
- Experience of Agile delivery practices.
- Knowledge of the full Software Development Delivery Lifecycle
- The ability to solve and unblock issues within teams or departments.
- The skills to build consensus between organisations or highly independent and diverse stakeholders.
- Proactivity and future thinking around the management and control of project costs and benefits.
- Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate, and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment.
- Experience of leading project teams, building and maintaining the trust, confidence, commitment and collaboration of others.
