 is seeking applications for a Pensions Technical Manager to help shape the future of pensions in Ireland by providing expert guidance on legislation, Revenue rules, regulatory expectations and market best practice. In this role, you’ll turn complex technical changes into clear, meaningful insights for our business and partners, support the development of innovative propositions, create high‑quality technical content, and act as a trusted subject matter expert across Royal London Ireland.

About the role

  • Identify, interpret and communicate legislative, regulatory and market developments affecting the Irish pensions market.
  • Provide authoritative technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Influence proposition design to ensure competitiveness, compliance, and strong customer outcomes.
  • Deliver compelling technical content and insight for advisers, employers and customers

About you

  • Good communicator, able to build strong partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify and convey complex ideas and information to a range of audiences.
  • Able to challenge and influence others effectively.
  • Positive, proactive and collaborative attitude.

 Criteria

  • Deep understanding of Irish pensions legislation, Revenue rules and regulatory frameworks (IORP II, PRSAs, Master Trusts, ARFs, employer schemes).
  • Ability to interpret complex legislation and translate it into clear, actionable business guidance.
  • QFA or RPA qualified.
  • Extensive experience in a comparable or similar position.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory environment and government policy in relation to the pensions and savings/investments markets.
  • Knowledge of Royal London Ireland’s pensions and protection propositions.
  • Strong commercial awareness of the Irish pensions market.
  • Good understanding of customer outcomes risk principles, risk management and governance arrangements.
  • Skilled at creating highquality technical content for varied audiences.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to design innovative solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong customer focus; a passion for delivering good outcomes for customers and doing the right thing
