Job Title: Senior PMO Manager – Portfolio Planner
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Edinburgh
Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based
Closing date: 23rd April
We’re recruiting a Senior PMO Manager – Portfolio Planner to own and maintain an integrated, rolling change portfolio roadmap, ensuring it stays strategically aligned, realistically sequenced, and deliverable within known enterprise constraints.
This is a role that help to provide clear transparency on the UK Change Portfolio, how it’s phased, what the key dependencies and constraints are and ultimately enabler leadership to make informed, evidence-based decisions on what we deliver, when and why.
In this role we are looking for an individual who can demonstrate ability to:
- Connect strategy, enterprise architecture and delivery demand into a coherent roadmap, ensuring it’s maintained and is adopted as the single enterprise view of change.
- Ensure mobilising initiatives demonstrate alignment to strategy and target‑state architecture, with misaligned or premature demand challenged or reshaped prior to governance approvals.
- Identify, model, and communicate key portfolio constraints such as capacity, tech and architectural, change saturation and organisation readiness, surfacing cross‑portfolio dependencies and critical path risks.
- Lead modelling analysis and recommendations on phasing, sequencing, and pacing of initiatives meaning unplanned or reactive re‑sequencing is reduced.
- Communicates concise, decision ready recommendations to senior stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with significant experience in senior PMO, portfolio management, or enterprise planning roles within complex organisations, an Enterprise portfolio strategist and insight led planner.
