Role purpose
We are currently looking to recruit an IT Infrastructure Administrator to join our IT Support team on a permanent basis in Edinburgh.
The main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to Royal London colleagues for all Hardware and Software across the group.
Key responsibilities
- Providing professional IT 2nd Line support to all Royal London colleagues via our Incident and Service Request processes.
- Supporting both hardware and software across the group.
- Proactively managing your own workload/work queue.
- Liaising with colleagues in the IT Service Desk & 3rd line Specialist teams to find solutions to problems, and to knowledge share.
- Identifying opportunities for improvements in services and process enhancements so that we can always strive to do our jobs in the most efficient way.
- Supporting the delivery & implementation of projects.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience working in a 1st or 2nd line IT support role supporting customers both in-house and virtually.
- Experience of Microsoft technologies, including AD/Exchange/Teams/Office 365, Experience supporting Windows 10 & 11 client.
- A good understanding of virtual and VC technologies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Enjoy providing excellent customer support.
- Enjoy problem solving with a positive approach to challenges
Desirable Criteria
- Good understanding of the automation of systems and processes.
- Good understanding of, Networks, Monitoring, Unix & storage technologies.
