Job Title: Senior Communications Consultant
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Edinburgh or Alderley Edge or London
Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Communications Consultant within our Employer Marketing team. This role is perfect for an experienced marketing professional with a passion for building workplace member engagement. You’ll help thousands of employees better understand their pensions and improve their financial resilience through compelling, insight-driven communications.

 As a Senior Communications Consultant, you will be responsible for creating and delivering bespoke employee communication plans for mid to large sized workplace schemes in partnership with the employer, and adviser as appropriate. The role requires you to build a deep audience knowledge to bring insights around employer and employee / member engagement opportunities into Royal London and ensure the audience view is embedded in all marketing activity across the funnel.  You will use data and insight to demonstrate and articulate the effectiveness of the plans. 

About the Role

  • Develop and deliver communications to support scheme specific activity and help employees get the most out of their workplace pension savings and build their financial resilience
  • Think creatively about new ways to engage employees with their workplace pension savings across a diverse range of industries and sectors
  • Work closely with Client Relationship teams to support existing clients
  • Collaborate with the UK Bid Team to support tender responses, pitches and other marketing deliverables required to win and onboard new schemes
  • Using data and insights to test, learn and optimise any activity
  • Ensuring that all communications meet brand, regulatory, industry and Royal London’s standard

  • Experience of development and delivery of workplace pension member engagement plans is desirable
  • Excellent understanding of marketing communication tools and techniques
  • Experience in financial services or another regulated environment is an advantage
  • Experience of marketing planning and development
  • Knowledge of workplace pensions is beneficial
  • Proven track record of effective stakeholder management
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Proactive and accountable
