Job Title: Senior Project Manager (Data Migration Events) 

Contract Type: Permanent 

Location: Edinburgh 

Working Style: Hybrid 50% home / 50% office based 

  

We havean exciting opportunity forSeniorProject Manager (Data Migrations) to join ourChange Team at Royal London, initially focussed on a major data migration programme.The Change Team work across Royal London to help deliver the Groups strategic ambitions. We work in partnership to deliver operational excellence, drive innovation, enhance customer experience, and protect our business from threats impacting our industry. Bringing together thousands of colleagues to look after millions of customers to deliver great outcomes for customers.As a Senior Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for planning and leading the delivery of the whole change lifecycle for projects covering both Business and Technical driven change. 

 

About the role   

We are delivering a major, multiyear programme that will transform our proposition and transition critical operations, data and technology. The programme will deliver an enhanced proposition through migration of policies to our Royal Londonstrategic platforms. The role involves the design, execution and governance of the event runbook including validation through dry runs and dress rehearsals. Were looking for candidates with proven experience in largescale data migrations within complex change environments—candidates who can design, plan and execute technical and operational change to ensure a smooth, well governed and high quality transition. 

 

As aSeniorProjectManageryou will:   

  • Lead our most complex andcritical initiatives   
  • Apply best project management practice toensure outcomes are delivered to time, cost and quality objectives 
  • Provide leadership to thedeliveryteam by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones   
  • Define and agree required level of project resource needed for successful project delivery   
  • Manage risks and issues, understanding a wider risk context associated with thebusiness and the delivery ​   
  • Build a collaborativerelationshipwith 3rd parties to managedelivery,costs and maximise value​   
  • Implement appropriate level of Governance in-line with Group methods   
  • Cost control on the project andunderstanding the impact this has on Group-wide financialperformance and value to the customer​    
  • Coach and mentorother Project Managers in the team, potential with people management responsibilities   
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the ways of working within our change delivery environment 

   

What you will bring to the role: 

  • Extensive demonstrable experience ofdelivering complex Data Migrationprojects within financial services 
  • The ability to solve and unblock issues within teams ordepartments   
  • An adaptable approach to communicating across alllevels in Royal London ​   
  • The skills to build consensus betweenorganisations or highly independent and diversestakeholders   
  • Proactivity and future thinking around the managementand control ofproject costs and benefits   
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate, and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment   
  • Experience of leading project teams, building and maintaining the trust, confidence, commitment and collaboration of others
