We have a unique opportunity to support an exciting new venture within the Chief Operating Office, that will help shape the future of Royal London.
We are looking for someone who will support Workplace Future Value Stream by co-ordinating delivery of all dependencies for each initiative and reporting progress for all technical and business deliverables.
COO is embarking on a new approach to delivering business and technology changes and this role will be at the forefront of these changes.
About the role
- Member of the Team of Teams who will co-ordinate delivery to ensure effective collaboration and efficient delivery is achieved (incl. unblocking issues).
- Manage technical and business dependencies on behalf of the delivery squads (incl. Royal London Application teams, 3rd parties, Business Readiness, Take to Market, Brand & Marketing, etc.)
- Reporting overall initiative progress aligned to the Value Stream Roadmap to help understand where we are and remaining effort/timeline to complete delivery
- Provide a regular status report and attend delivery meetings with Team of Teams to review progress and manage issues and risks effectively.
About you
- Proven track record of successful project and programme delivery, ideally in a Financial Services environment.
- Experience of building and leading high performing teams, creating a supportive environment to maximise colleague contribution and engagement.
- Highly competent in use of planning tools and experienced in operating financial and risk control frameworks in a project setting.
- Proactivity and future thinking around the management and control of programme/project costs and benefits.
- Strong stakeholder management experience at all levels up to C-suite.
- Thorough understanding of different project delivery methodologies and ways of working and able to adopt the most suitable approach to a given project.
- A self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision or direction.
