About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Royal London. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical skills to help our teams design, develop, test, and implement efficient solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
The successful candidate will have a real impact on how Royal London develop our applications. You will be given the opportunity to grow your career within a team focussed on promoting internal career progression.
This role will focus on evolving the technology stack operated by the Core Services team and will contribute to our journey towards the future of Master Data Management (MDM), supporting the evolution of how we master and modernise customer data across the organisation. The Core team builds and runs shared, businesscritical services used across multiple areas of Royal London.
This role contributes to our purpose of strengthening the mutual choice for our customers, by providing the best technology solutions to our customers.
About the role

You will be working in a technology stack which primarily includes Angular SPAs, .NET services, and SQL Databases.

Participate in the development of technical solutions, managing own workload and those of junior team members.

Provide technical advice and guidance to other software developers, proactively and reactively.

Takes responsibility for ensuring that all code meets Royal London Group standards, guidelines, and quality gates for given technology.

Encourages close collaboration with other disciplines within the team.

Takes an active role on the transfer of knowledge and sharing of experiences relating to own area of technical expertise at practice level.
About you

You will have hands on development experience in .Net and Angular, successfully delivering, and leading change on complex applications.

Enterprise experience working across the full software development lifecycle.

Desire to support the wider team and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.

Able to communicate at all levels in an engaging and collaborative manner.

Keen to continue to develop technical skills in ever emerging technology stacks.
