RLAM’s business has grown rapidly over recent years. In 2023 we developed a new vision, and our strategy has moved firmly into execution mode.
Our current client group resources and expertise align with our historic, predominantly UK and public market business. Our strategy targets diversification through growth into new asset classes (e.g. Private Markets) and geographies (aiming for 5 significant ex-UK locations).
To achieve this, we will require new products and capabilities (e.g. ETFs, Tokenisation) and must evolve our sales and servicing to meet new client requirements.
This newly created role will complement our core existing resources and capabilities by bringing an experience driving growth in private markets and international and of ETFs. It is critical that the incumbent work collaboratively and effectively with stakeholders from across RLAM and RLG, deploying high levels of EQ and clear communication.
About the role
Specifically, the role will:
- Help us develop, build, implement and drive an international go to market strategy - using ETF launch as catalyst. They will lead the international sales vertical within our existing Sales structure
- Ownership of target and revenue contribution across defined geographies, partnerships and capabilities. i.e. ETF, Private Markets.
- Bring and actively demonstrate a “GFI mindset” - not product selling but partnership building. Not with GFIs who are too big for us but with smaller tier clients and with potential strategic partners.
- Be innovative and collaborative working with sales and wider Client Group colleagues, helping us evolve our sales execution in line with our diversifying business.
About you
- Strong strategy experience within Asset Management.
- Proven sales and revenue delivery across client types and jurisdictions.
- Deep understanding of distribution channels and routes to market.
- Clear grasp of client needs across investment types, domiciles and sectors.
- Strong market, competitor and client insight; able to translate trends into strategy.
- Broad investment product knowledge across public, private and alternative assets.
- Fund structures knowledge, including UK/Dublin UCITS, ETFs and other vehicles.
- Regulatory knowledge for authorised funds (e.g., UCITS, COB, COLL).
- Well-developed external network (competitors, providers and advisors).
- Proven people leadership; able to manage, motivate and develop sales teams.
- Senior stakeholder management and influence; collaborative across teams.
- Highly organised; able to manage multiple priorities.
- Clear communicator and confident presenter at all levels.
- Analytical and numerate.
- Self-starter with strong ownership and execution focus.
