We are now recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Asset Manager within our Offices Sector Team.
Reporting into the Head of Sector and working with the wider team, you will assist in the delivery of asset management strategies across a national offices portfolio assisting with acquisitions, disposals, developments, managing occupier engagement as well as project specific work.

About the role
- Develop and maintain detailed annual and quarterly business plans and cashflows for assets, ensuring agreed actions are delivered and performance is actively monitored.
- Proactively manage lease events including rent reviews, expiries, breaks and re-gears, working with external agents and advisers to optimise outcomes and value.
- Oversee external Property Managers to ensure assets are well maintained, compliant and performing, with a strong focus on minimising voids, maximising income and controlling arrears.
- Build strong tenant relationships, driving retention and satisfaction, while embedding Responsible Property Investment, ESG and Net Zero Carbon considerations into day-to-day asset management.
- Maintain a strong understanding of relevant property sectors and local markets to inform asset management decisions and identify risks and opportunities.
- Support the origination, execution and delivery of asset sales in line with Fund strategies, managing agents, advisers and solicitors through to completion.
- Implement agreed asset management strategies to enhance performance and value, identifying refurbishment, development and repurposing opportunities where appropriate.
- Demonstrate the Spirit of Royal London values through positive, collaborative behaviours with colleagues, tenants and external partners.
About you
- Capable and experienced Asset Manager with demonstrable track record. Experience working in Office sector an advantage.
- Good property market contacts.
- Have an excellent understanding and good quality experience of asset management, leasing, investment and development/refurbishment processes, including valuations, financial models and the market standard software.
- Ability to maintain in depth knowledge of the Office sector (in terms of locations, occupiers, properties and agents).
- An ability to write concise, logical and well worded reports.
- Maintain sound working knowledge of legal/economic framework.
- MRICS preferred.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Able to represent RLAM in a professional manner within the property market, and to existing and prospective investor clients.
- Able to build good relationships with tenants in the portfolio to support their business needs and to drive asset performance.
