Business Analyst (RLAM)
Contract type: Permanent
Location: London
Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based
Closing date: 8th April 2026
We have a new opportunity to join Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) at a pivotal point in our growth journey. As we continue to evolve our Front Office investment platform, processes, and data, we are looking for an experienced Front Office Business Analyst to help shape and deliver strategic change across the organisation.
This is a high impact role with significant exposure to fund managers, traders, and Front Office leadership, offering the opportunity to influence how investment ideas are translated into robust, scalable operating models. Experience with BlackRock Aladdin, particularly in a post implementation environment would be highly beneficial.
About the role
You will operate as a trusted Front Office change partner, combining deep investment process knowledge with strong analytical capability to deliver practical, business led solutions.
- Lead Front Office business analysis across investment processes, workflows, and operating models.
- Work closely with fund managers, traders, and investment operations to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
- Analyse and document end to end trade lifecycle processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation, control improvement, and scalability.
- Assess solution options and trade offs, considering business impact, risk, cost, and benefit, and provide clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Produce high quality business artefacts, including process models, target operating models, and impact assessments.
- Support change delivery across systems, data, and process improvements, ensuring alignment between Front Office needs and technical implementation.
- Act as a bridge between Front Office users and technology teams, ensuring solutions are practical, usable, and fit for purpose.
- Contribute to the adoption of consistent business analysis standards and modelling approaches across RLAM.
- Manage change requests and engage with third party vendors where required.
About you
- You are an experienced Front Office Business Analyst with a strong understanding of investment management environments.
- A proven experience working directly with Front Office stakeholders, including fund managers and traders, and can confidently challenge and influence where needed.
- Experience delivering business analysis across new initiatives, developments and change programmes, including the implementation of new asset classes or investment propositions.
- Awareness of how mid‑office and back‑office operations integrate with investment teams and wider change delivery, ensuring solutions are practical and scalable.
- You bring strong knowledge of multiple asset classes, including OTC derivatives (bilateral and cleared), and understand the end to end trade lifecycle.
- You are comfortable operating in complex change environments, balancing business priorities with delivery constraints.
- You have strong business modelling, process design, and analytical skills, and apply them pragmatically.
- You communicate with clarity and confidence, adapting your style for technical and non technical audiences.
- You are commercially aware, collaborative, and outcome focused.
- Experience with BlackRock Aladdin, particularly in a post implementation or optimisation context, is highly beneficial but not essential.
