Join RLAM Property and as our Development Analyst. Reporting directly to the Head of Development, you’ll be shaping new propositions and supporting transactions through rigorous development investment analysis, financial modelling and smart structuring.
You’ll build and maintain portfolio‑wide development models, deliver clear reporting and performance insights, and help the Development and Property teams make faster, better decisions.

About the role
- Working with the Development Team on the testing and underwriting of development propositions both from within the existing AuM or for new strategies.
- Providing analytical support for a variety of real assets development projects in the UK real assets including Traditional/Mainstream’ real estate sectors (offices, retail and industrial).
- Provide supporting development analytics and financial modelling for complex development management initiatives.
- Overseeing and checking the data quality and performing checks on data import/export processes.
- Work with the Development Team and Portfolio Fund Managers (PFM) in preparation of annual Fund Strategies and Action Plans and Fund Models.
- Work closely with Investment Analyst team in Property to ensure consistency of approach and best practice.
- Support in establishing RLAM Property best practice techniques, ensuring efficient production and on-going management of financial models.
- Propose initiatives to improve processes and procedures, as appropriate/relevant.
About you
- Maintain in depth knowledge of the development and investment management and reporting practices and issues.
- Have a good understanding and experience of asset management, investment and development processes, including valuations, DCF appraisals and financial models and the market standard software.
- Have developed a good working knowledge of legal/economic framework. CFA / MRICS / ACA
- Previous exposure to real estate business required.
- Strong Excel skills with an interest in financial modelling.
- Exhibit an ability to work on one’s own and within a team framework.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
- Capable of building strong relationships with a demanding team.
- Sound statistical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with the following software required: Anaplan, Argus Enterprise - and considered a plus: Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx
- Good negotiating skills, decision making ability and sound judgement.
- Able to represent RLAM in a professional manner within the property market, and to existing and prospective investor clients
