Distribution Compliance Manager

We are currently looking for a Distribution Compliance Manager to join the Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) Client Group on a permanent basis.
You will collaborate with other teams across the Client Group and Compliance to ensure regulatory adherence. You will also collaborate with a sister role within Royal London Group to ensure the financial promotions procedural framework remains robust and is consistently applied. You will support the Client Group teams in managing risks by enhancing processes and controls.
As we enter a new chapter of growth and international expansion, this is an exciting opportunity to join RLAM. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience and knowledge of European regulations, as well as international experience, to help support our expanding global footprint.

About the role
- Review and approve financial promotions, regulatory customer communications, client reporting, fund literature, customer journeys and other marketing collateral and ensure that they meet the requirement to be clear, fair, and not misleading
- Maintain a process to verify compliance with relevant financial promotion & regulatory requirements for the UK & international markets
- Review and update existing procedures or compliance guidance
- Ensure good governance over marketing publications and fund literature incl. administering the approval system
- Provide compliance support to colleagues in relation to sales and distribution
- Prepare and conduct training for team members relating to regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Assist with annual updates of UCITS KIIDs, PRIIPS KIDs and client reports templates
- Participate in business projects requiring compliance input
- Recognise risks in the financial promotions production process and work collaboratively within the wider business to address them adequately
- Maintain a framework for MIFID Knowledge & Competence for sales staff and monitor adherence
- Ensure compliance with Consumer Duty and SDR accountabilities
- Provide compliance support to colleagues in relation to Gifts & Entertainment
About you
- Knowledge of financial services sector, with experience within investment management or banking sector
- Previous experience of approving financial promotions/advertising in the UK and/or Europe gained either as part of the Compliance
- Good regulatory knowledge of FCA rules, MiFID II, UCITS, FUND, CASS, AIFMD, GDPR, KIID and PRIIPS, SDR, anti-greenwashing and other relevant rules
- High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of the marketing and product governance frameworks
- Experience with Seismic would be beneficial
