As a Senior Investment Proposition Analyst, you’ll play a leading role in shaping proposition development, enhancing core investment processes, and driving improvements across our investment architecture and customer facing materials. You’ll bring strong technical expertise and the confidence to influence decisions across teams.

About the role

This role is ideal for someone with grounded technical knowledge, strong analytical capability, and meaningful experience within an investment proposition or similar investment environment. You will bring expertise, judgement and ownership - supporting strategic enhancements while ensuring high quality delivery across BAU and project activity.

In this role, you will:

Proposition Development & Technical Delivery

  • Support the development, maintenance, and evolution of our investment proposition.
  • Act as a subject matter expert across investment structures, markets, and proposition design.
  • Own and run key operational processes including fund data accuracy, performance statistics and investment collateral updates.
  • Support the processing and communication of Tactical Asset Allocation changes, corporate actions and investment adjustments.

Project Leadership & Governance

  • Support investment proposition projects from design through to operational delivery, ensuring alignment with customer outcomes and business strategy.
  • Input to high quality committee papers and manage governance processes, working closely with Group Risk & Compliance, Proposition and Investment Office.
  • Identify, design and embed enhancements to controls, processes and procedures.

Insight, Analysis & Market Understanding

  • Analyse market developments, regulatory changes and competitor activity to inform proposition evolution.
  • Provide expert insight and guidance to advisers, distribution teams and internal stakeholders through a shared mailbox.
  • Support periodic reviews of proposition performance, charges, operational considerations and usage to identify improvements.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion team ways of working, driving continuous improvement and process efficiency.
  • Conduct quality reviews, insight deep dives and process audits.
  • Support and mentor junior analysts, offering guidance, coaching and knowledge‑sharing.

About you

You will bring professional maturity, strong technical grounding and the confidence to lead work, challenge constructively and influence outcomes.

You will ideally have:

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of investment markets, asset classes, multi‑asset approaches, OEICs, pension fund structures and investment performance.
  • Good knowledge of governance frameworks, risk controls and regulatory expectations (e.g. COBS, COLL, VFM, Consumer Duty).
  • Experience with Tactical Asset Allocation processing, corporate actions or investment adjustments.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools such as Lipper, FE Analytics or performance analytics tools.

Experience

  • Strong experience within an Investment Proposition, Product, Investment Office or similar investment‑focused environment.
  • A proven track record of delivering proposition projects end‑to‑end.
  • Experience producing high‑quality committee papers and engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Experience within pensions or long‑term savings: servicing, operations, distribution support or investment governance.
  • Experience improving processes, refreshing controls and working within risk and audit expectations.

Skills & Behaviours

  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and commercial awareness.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong capability across wider Microsoft 365 tools to enhance analysis, communication and ways of working.
  • Ability to translate complex investment concepts into concise and meaningful communications.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex BAU and projects simultaneously.
  • High personal accountability, able to work autonomously and provide informed challenge.
  • Leadership qualities - supporting others, influencing stakeholders and setting high standards.
