Job Title: Senior Technical Marketing Automation Consultant  

Contract Type: Permanent  

Location: Alderley Park, London, Edinburgh 

 
 

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We’re growing our Marketing Data, Analytics & Automation capability, and this is an exciting chance to lead the technical heartbeat of our Microsoft D365 Customer Insights Journeys platform. If you’re energised by solving complex problems, shaping best in class customer journeys and unlocking smarter ways of working, this role offers the freedom and influence to make a real impact. You’ll work at the centre of our marketing technology ecosystem, partnering with brilliant teams across Data, Architecture, Solution Design, Marketing and IT to deliver experiences that truly resonate with our customers. 

 

About the role 

  • Own and evolve our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys capability, shaping how Royal London connects with customers across channels. 

  • Act as the goto technical expert—supporting teams, unblocking issues and ensuring our systems run smoothly and efficiently. 

  • Design and deliver robust solutions, integrations and data flows that set the foundation for personalised, multichannel marketing. 

  • Champion innovation—introducing new approaches, leveraging AI features and driving continuous improvement. 

  • Partner with colleagues across Marketing, Data, Architecture and IT to streamline processes and bring new ideas to life. 

  • Coach and support the Marketing Automation team, building confidence and capability in CI(J) and digital execution. 

 

About you 

  • Hands on experience with D365 Customer Insight Journeys. 

  • Knowledge of other Microsoft products such as Sales CRM, Power BI, Fabric & Co-Pilot is also a plus.  

  • Comfortable in delivering technical solutions and helping troubleshoot, explaining your approach clearly to nontechnical colleagues. 

  • Curious, analytical and motivated by dataled decision making and continuous improvement in technology and internal process. 

  • Experience in campaign management, digital, multi-channel integration and analytics  

  • A strategic mindset that is keen to test, learn and optimise. 

  • Collaborative, supportive and passionate about helping others grow their technical understanding. 

  • Proactive in helping us move to always-on, data-driven and highly personalised communications.
