Talent and Capability Consultant

We’re looking for a Talent & Capability Consultant to join the Royal London Talent & Capability team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in shaping how we identify, develop and grow talent across the organisation. 

 

Reporting to the Talent & Capability Director, you’ll work closely with People Team colleagues, leaders and external partners to deliver practical, insight‑led talent solutions aligned to Royal London’s strategic priorities, supporting the RLAM (Royal London Asset Management) business. 

 

 

About the role

 

 

  • Contributing to the evolution of our Talent & Capability strategy to support a future‑ready workforce 
  • Providing expert advice and thought leadership on talent development and succession planning 
  • Leading elements of the group‑wide talent and succession planning cycle in Royal London Asset Management (RLAM)  
  • Designing and delivering development interventions for people leaders in the RLAM business 
  • Managing talent programmes, cohorts and executive coaching suppliers as appropriate 
  • Using insight and external benchmarking to inform talent priorities and continuous improvement 
  • Owning projects end‑to‑end, from design through to delivery.

 

 

About you

 

 

You’ll bring strong experience in talent and organisational development within a commercial environment, along with: 

  • Experience of a similar role in Financial Services (Asset Management desirable)  
  • Excellent partnering and stakeholder management skills 
  • Proven coaching and facilitation skills 
  • Experience designing, delivering and evaluating development solutions 
  • Strong project and portfolio management capability 
  • Creative and confident written, verbal and presentation skills 
  • Coaching capability and a collaborative working style 
  • Experience working in a matrixed HR model 
  • Psychometric certifications desirable e.g. Hogan, Lumina Spark, Insights etc.
