Prepping for your interview

We know interviewing for a new job can be nerve-racking. Let us help put you at ease.

Some of our interviews may be online and some may be in person. If you requested a reasonable adjustment in your application, we’ll do our best to support you during your interview.

Our goal is to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible and give you the opportunity to share your best self with us. We don’t have a formal dress code. Use your own judgement in deciding what’s appropriate for you, the role you’re interviewing for and what makes you perform best.

Our interviews

Our interviews work both ways. They’re a chance for us to see if you’re a great fit for Royal London and the role you’ve applied for, and for you to make sure we’re right for you too.

Our interviews include a mix of competency-based and role-specific questions, with time at the end for you to ask your own questions. Our competency-based questions are centred around our shared values outlined earlier in this guide.

For some roles, there may also be a second interview or assessment, but your recruiter will fill you in on the details.

Thanks for taking the time to read over our candidate guide, we're sure you have everything you need to succeed. But if you have any questions, please get in touch with your recruiter.

Using AI

We champion the use of AI at Royal London, to help our colleagues be more productive in their day-to-day activities and to help us deliver better outcomes for our members and customers.
