Candice: Benefiting careers at Royal London

Meet Candice, recently promoted to Legal Operations Manager having pursued a Chartered Management Institute level five operations manager qualification with the support of Royal London.

Candice’s apprenticeship allowed her to work, earn and apply what she’s learned every day, helping her grow.

“I studied online with monthly virtual calls with my tutor. Assignments had deadlines and I received a ‘learning journey’ to guide my studies. My manager supported me with a designated study afternoon each week.”

Candice finds the practical application of what she’s learnt to her job to be the most rewarding. The apprenticeship has provided a framework to understand principles that she never fully grasped, allowing her to apply them effectively in her work environment.

“Time management is the biggest challenge, especially when balancing work and assignment deadlines. However, the sense of accomplishment upon submitting assignments on time is gratifying – and ultimately obtaining your qualification feels like such a win!”

Weekly study afternoons and her family’s support makes it easier for Candice to focus on her studies when needed.

“It adds significant value to your role and life, benefiting both your current job and future career.”
