Our Finance function supports our business in various critical areas, from tax guidance and managing the company’s cash flow, to overseeing the investment of our customers’ assets and reviewing bonus rates.

Our teams

The Financial Close, Production and Reporting teams are responsible for ensuring a robust ledger position, producing, reviewing and reporting our financial and regulatory results, and managing our data and control framework.

The Actuarial team performs a wide range of activities to ensure the financial security of our business. The team considers the risks that we face as a business, and ensures we have sufficient money set aside to meet all our future liabilities, even under extreme events.

The Investment Office is responsible for developing our investment strategy and overseeing how assets are managed and invested on behalf of our customers and members.

The Treasury team is responsible for optimising, steering, and managing the financial resources of Royal London, including liquidity and funding.

The Tax team leads Royal London’s approach to tax strategy and risk management. It works with wider business units on tax matters and liaises with HMRC to ensure tax compliance.

The Finance Change, Actuarial and Finance Systems teams are responsible for managing and developing the systems and processes that support the actuarial and financial operations of our business.

The With Profits team exists to ensure that Royal London honours its legal and regulatory duties to treat customers fairly. It provides information on ProfitShare rates and strategy to the Board, and ensures that the impact of decisions and changes on policyholders is fully considered and understood.

The Business Finance team supports the business with financial expertise and insight, helping to make sound decisions and implement strategies.
